Biography
Ye Wang’s goal is to collect design knowledge and make design smarter. Leveraging techniques in machine learning, human computer interaction, and computer graphics, she wants to help rethink how the future of design looks. Prior to joining Autodesk Research, Ye worked in the industry for many years. She co-founded an architecture and construction tech startup and ran the engineering team. Ye worked on the state-of-the-art in-browser computer-aided design tool, enabling users to collaborate like never before. Ye developed algorithms and platforms for 3D printing to give more people the ability to design and make. She went to MIT and studied computer graphics and computational fabrication with Prof. Wojciech Matusik. Since then, she has never left the field of design and making.
