Biography

John Schmier is a Senior Program Manager with Autodesk Research with a focus on aligning research to the product and business organizations. John started his career with Autodesk in 1996 and has held the roles of QA Engineer, Developer, Tech Lead, Development Manager, and Senior Program Manager on projects such as AutoCAD, Buzzsaw, DWG viewing technologies, generative design research, web-based collaboration projects, virtualization applications, and various research projects.

When John’s not at the office, he enjoys working on his classic car, home improvement projects, hiking, and cycling.
